April Update: Closure due to COVID-19

Hi everyone!

We now find ourselves facing another 3 weeks of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic which many of us will not relish, but we all know this is an important thing to do for the health of our nation, especially for the key workers including the NHS to whom we send a huge thank you!

Unfortunately this situation has had a big impact on many of the country’s businesses who remain closed for the foreseeable future. For us, our retail shop in East Leake has been affected which obviously includes our coffee shop too. This is heart breaking for everyone and we hope that all businesses can come through these difficult times and/or reinvent themselves accordingly.

We are missing seeing our regular customers here in the shop and have been delighted to welcome new customers through our website & social media – thank you all for your ongoing support.  We love to hear from you so please keep in touch via instagram, facebook (@loveandpiste) or by sending us an email ([email protected]) if there is anything you would like to ask us or anything you need.

This is not quite the start to the summer season we had planned (view earlier blog) but we are making the best of the situation we find ourselves in. Our recent ‘Cream Tea’ delivery promotion on instagram and facebook over the Easter weekend was very popular and we loved bringing a little treat to you and your loved ones. Watch this space as we may repeat this offer again in May!

For those of you who are new to our business… we are a small independent business which began 20 years ago, specialising in skiwear for the whole family, but more recently have added cycling/active wear. Our coffee shop has now been open for 3 years and is loved by many, including regular cyclists who enjoy a coffee and a teacake as fuel for their long rides, creating a social hub with events and promotions offered throughout the year!

Our online store currently has lots of great offers with up to 50% OFF skiwear, cycling and active wear! Get ahead and ready for the next ski season and bag yourself a bargain.

And REMEMBER we are not just about skiwear – try to think outside the box as a lot of our products have a multi-use:

  • that mid layer top you may see in ‘Skiwear’ can be used for cycling/walking
  • base layers are a comfy fit for just staying at home, exercising or not
  • ski pants and leggings are great for a walk with the dog in cooler weather
  • enjoy the sun and treat yourself to a new pair of sunglasses, t-shirt or flip-flops

As we live close to the shop, online orders can be collected quickly and, subject to any changes in the Royal Mail’s schedule, delivered to your door easily. If you live in the village of East Leake, where our shop is based, you can benefit from ‘free delivery’ during lockdown by using the Click and Collect option and we will deliver safely to your door.

The Love & Piste team are trying to stay as active and busy as we can; doing daily home workouts with online exercise classes, regular cycle rides, local walks and enjoying time spent with our families, thankfully in the glorious spring sunshine!

So in the meantime, let’s all support our key workers and stick to the advice and guidance given out daily by the Government, but most importantly we hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and well during this difficult time.
